PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR TO APPLYING TO ADOPT:What do I need to do to adopt a Bulldog? First do your research! English Bulldogs are high maintenance and can be expensive to care for. After you have researched the breed and decided a bulldog is for you click here Get Application for an application. Once that is received you will be called by a volunteer and interviewed at which time we will set up a home visit. The home visit is just to ensure the environment is safe for a dog. Be sure to have locks on fence gates, be prepared to purchase a crate etc. Once the home visit is complete and you are an approved adopter we will try to match a bulldog to you. It is important to note, our dogs are rescues and most come with issues, many require medications for life and it is rare we get young dogs or puppies. Most are adults or Seniors. This process is not quick, our group operates with only volunteers so please be patient. This process could take up to and over a month. In addition, we have adoption fees for each of our dogs. These fees help pay for the vetting of ALL the dogs in the rescue and they are not negotiable! Some of the dogs we get are medical nightmares while others may require little to no medical care. Adoptions fees do not cover all of the expenses so we also have to raise funds and we accept donations as well.

Luna somehow ended up at the Humane Society and they adopted her to someone who just wasn't prepared for the cost of a bulldog. Luna needed entropion surgery on both eyes, she needed her palate shortened and some teeth pulled. She is about 9 years old and super sweet. She loves to snuggle on the couch and just be with her people. Luna's adoption fee is $300. Only Texas applicants please.
Guinness is a great dog, he is very loving and sweet but he is very shy and timid. He is afraid of his own shadow. He as been with rescue for 2 months and is coming out of his shell a bit but will need a very patient family that doesn't have a lot of chaos e.g. kids running around, too many other pets etc. Guinness is neutered, UTD on all shots and Heartworm negative. He is 2 years old. Only Texas applicants please. His adoption fee is $600.

Sammy Joe came into rescue as a stray with a lot of neglect issues. His age is estimated to be older than five. He is a sweet boy that likes to be on your lap giving you lots of kisses and high fives. He usually ignores other dogs but will defend himself if he is uncomfortable or pushed by another dog. He would not do well in a home with small children as he likes to jump and paw. He is house-trained and does reasonably well on a leash. He loves car rides and does great with people. Sammy's adoption fee is $500 and we only adopt in Texas!

Louie was born on September 25, 2010, he is only 3 and has had his cherry eyes fixed, he has been neutered and he was surrendered to SABR due to a horrible infection that left him smelling like rotting flesh. The vet he saw diagnosed him with an anal gland infection but it was actually a tail pocket infection. He has since had his tail amputated and Louie is on the mend. He is a great dog, full of love and life. He loves to play and can speak, give high fives and had really good manners. He is housebroken and crate trained, UTD on all shots. His adoption fee is $600. Only Texas applicants please.

Nate is a very sweet 4 year old who has chronic ear infections. We are treating him with medicine to avoid costly surgery. His ears are getting better, Nate is Neutered, UTD on all of his shots, house broken and loves dogs, kids and his people. He loves to sit next to you on the couch and watch TV. His adopter should be prepared to clean his ears twice a week and take him into the vet at the first sign of trouble. If these extra precautions are taken Nate will not need surgery on his ears. His adoption fee is $600. Only Texas applicants please.

Layla is a 2 year old Olde English Bulldog, she is full of energy and loves to play, especially with other dogs! Here is what her foster mom says: We think she would do really well in a house with another dog that is active as she just loves to play. She sleeps well in her crate at night, just a few minutes of barking before she falls asleep. She is also in her crate when we go to work during the day. She is mostly house trained, but if she's roaming around the house out of her crate, she can't go more than 2 hours without having an accident. She needs to learn some manners, but seems to learn extremely fast! She knows "sit" and is working on her door manners to let others out first. She seems extremely friendly with people; loves belly rubs and kisses, and likes to cuddle up on the couch to nap. She is one of the sweetest dogs in our rescue. Her adoption fee is $400. Only Texas applicants please.
