My name is Brindie Lulu or Lulu as my foster mom calls me!
I am a 5 year old English Bulldog that came to rescue after spending my life
in an Iowa puppymill. I am a very sweet girl and has adapted rather quickly
to life outside of a cage. I love to go for walks, sleep on the couch (
although im not sure how to get off yet) and play with toys. Being a
puppymill mama, I am still learning the ropes of housebreaking but only have
the occasional accident now. I am very food motivated and will do anything
for a treat. I am looking for a family that will love me unconditionally and
give me the life I so much deserve. I have lots of spunk and life in me, this
is my prime time but I do spend most of my day napping on the couch or in my
crate. I am excellent with other dogs, don't seem to be bothered by cats but
would do best with children over the age of 5 years because I am jumpy
sometimes and don't want to knock anyone over. If you have no other animals
or children, that is fine to, I love my humans as well. Medically, I am
finally completely over my demodex mange but will need drops in my eyes twice
daily for dry eye. You won't be disappointed when you meet me, I promise and
I can't wait to meet my furever family!!! Love, Lulu! My adoption fee is $600.

San Antonio Bulldog Rescue, Inc. is a 501c3 Non-Profit organization dedicated to rescuing English Bulldogs in San Antonio and Austin. We are comprised of only volunteers that foster and help these sweet angels. Since we are a small rescue we do not adopt out of state, we simply do not have the resources to support out of state adoptions.
PLEASE READ THIS PRIOR TO APPLYING TO ADOPT:What do I need to do to adopt a Bulldog? First do your research! English Bulldogs are high maintenance and can be expensive to care for. After you have researched the breed and decided a bulldog is for you click here Get Application for an application. Once that is received you will be called by a volunteer and interviewed at which time we will set up a home visit. The home visit is just to ensure the environment is safe for a dog. Be sure to have locks on fence gates, be prepared to purchase a crate etc. Once the home visit is complete and you are an approved adopter we will try to match a bulldog to you. It is important to note, our dogs are rescues and most come with issues, many require medications for life and it is rare we get young dogs or puppies. Most are adults or Seniors. This process is not quick, our group operates with only volunteers so please be patient. This process could take up to and over a month. In addition, we have adoption fees for each of our dogs. These fees help pay for the vetting of ALL the dogs in the rescue and they are not negotiable! Some of the dogs we get are medical nightmares while others may require little to no medical care. Adoptions fees do not cover all of the expenses so we also have to raise funds and we accept donations as well.

Meet Pretty little Zoey -Adopted
Zoey is a tiny, sweet little girl. She is approximately 2-3 years old and she is recovering from a broken leg and she still needs to be spayed. She is microchipped, UTD on shots and Heartworm negative. She likes to sit right at your feet, snuggle on the couch and play kissy face. She is fine with other dogs as long as she has the proper introduction and would be fine with children. Due to her broken leg I would like to place her in a home with no stairs. Her adoption fee is $600.

Meet Bonnie - Adopted
Hi, my name is Bonnie. I am a loving Olde English Bulldog that loves to
cuddle and play. I am looking for a home where I am the only pet or with a
submissive pet, I do like to play with other dogs but I might not like
sharing my people with another dog because I like all the attention. I will
need fenced in back yard and a family that spends lots of time with me and
takes me places. I enjoy playing with my Jolly egg and learning how to
skateboard. I have been trained by a trainer so I don't chew on things or
get on furniture and I am also housebroken. I am 3 1/2 years old, current
on my shots, spayed and Heartworm negative! My adoption fee is $400.
